Warhammer: 40K - Necrons: Triarch Praetorians
Clad in huge suits of ancient armour, the Lychguard act as the heavy-hitting Bodyguard for your Necron Overlord. Armed with their mighty Warscythes, they are easily able to neutralise almost any threat you may face upon the field of battle - or, when armed with Hyperphase swords and near-impenetrable Dispersion shields, they can repel enemy shots, offering further protection to their master.
The most versatile of units to be fielded by the Necrons, Triarch Praetorians hold a great burden - having been tasked with the defence of the great Necron dynasties. After the War in Heaven, the Necron race went into hibernation - but the Triarch Praetorians remained awake, watching over their comrades. Now, they choose not to enter battle immediately, but to use their Displacement Packs to hover over the battlefield, before launching deadly attacks at the very heart of the enemy's forces.
